About Straits Consulting
We help capital project leaders shift to faster, adaptive delivery models — pulling value forward with AI-enabled ways of working.
The focus is speed to first value: shorter cycles, faster learning, and delivery systems that can absorb change without turning it into rework.
Led by a capital project practitioner
Edward Abramowich has 30+ years delivering major energy and industrial megaprojects across energy majors, national oil companies, asset owners, and EPC/EPCM organisations, including Shell. His work spans engineering through construction and commissioning, focused on compressing delivery timelines and pulling speed to value forward through adaptive delivery models and AI-enabled workflows. He is the author of Rethinking Capital Project Delivery: Agentic AI–Driven Strategies for the New Era. Straits Consulting engagements are led with senior practitioner oversight and supported by specialist capability when required.
How we work
Most organisations have spent decades building capital project delivery frameworks. They’re hardwired into governance, controls and how people get work done. Yet the results are painfully consistent: late decisions, late change, and rework that compounds through the lifecycle.
The answer isn’t to scrap everything overnight. The smart move is to find strategic entry points inside the current framework—places where new ways of working (and AI where it fits) can accelerate delivery with low risk, prove value fast, and build momentum for a modern delivery model.
We work inside your existing system—stage gates, deliverables, project controls and contractor interfaces stay in place. We target the friction that slows delivery: waiting for decisions, late change turning into rework and handoffs that don’t flow. Then we scale what works.
Rethinking Capital Project Delivery
A practitioner’s view of what happens when AI meets real capital project delivery—decisions, approvals, interfaces, controls, construction, commissioning, and the routines that make or break schedule. Written to help delivery leaders see where value gets stuck, what to fix first, and how to prove it on a live job without launching a big program.
